I got to create with Lara Kaur, one of my favorite photographers, someone I’ve admired and have gotten to know over the years. We shot this in her backyard the month I was due. I was gifted quiet, a moment of stillness.
The past year was a roller coaster - pregnant, being on the go, seesawing between deep stress to deep relief, from everything’s fine to everything’s changing, making deliberate, at times, difficult moves to make way for a new chapter.
The colors represented life & nature - orange for the sun, blue for water, tan for the earth.
The sun set on us, gliding over me, sealing the moment.
Art captures time, and I’m grateful for this time.
